1. What Otrev is

Otrev ("we", "us") is a document preparation service for California tenants. We prepare draft documents — such as security deposit demand letters and small claims filing packets — based on the information and documents you provide. We are not a law firm, we are not attorneys, and we do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or opinions about your specific legal rights. No attorney-client relationship is created by using Otrev. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed California attorney or a legal aid organization.

2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, for reviewing every document before you sign or file it, and for deciding whether and when to send or file it. Court deadlines and statutes of limitation are your responsibility.

3. Services and delivery

After payment we prepare your draft within the time stated in the offer (normally 24 hours after we receive the documents we asked for). Drafts are delivered in the chat where you ordered, or by email if you prefer. One round of revisions is included. Optional certified mailing is performed as a delivery service on your instruction and in your name.

4. Fees, payment and refunds

Fees are flat and shown before you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. If we cannot prepare your document — for example because your situation is outside California or outside the scope of the service — we refund the fee in full. If we fail to deliver a draft within 48 hours after receiving your documents, you may cancel for a full refund. After a draft has been delivered, fees are non-refundable, except as required by law. We do not charge based on the outcome of your case and we do not guarantee any outcome.

5. No guarantee of results

Whether a landlord pays, or a court rules in your favor, depends on facts and decisions outside our control. Any estimate we give you about amounts at stake or likelihood is an informational assessment, not a promise.

6. Communications

By contacting us on WhatsApp or another messaging service, or by placing an order, you agree to receive service messages about your order by WhatsApp and SMS at the number you provided: order confirmations, notices that a draft is ready, and deadline reminders. No marketing messages. Message frequency varies by order; message and data rates of your carrier may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, HELP for help. See messaging consent.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid to us for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost deposits, damages, or court costs.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
